Treatment with Invisalign® First is a step-by-step journey, carefully monitored by your dentist to ensure healthy and predictable tooth movement. The process includes an initial consultation, creation of a custom treatment plan, and regular aligner use.
Initial Consultation
Your child’s journey begins with a thorough exam by Dr. Samer Obeid or Dr. Robert M. Haddad at Oakridge Dental Center. During this visit, your dentist will evaluate your child’s bite and tooth development, explain the Invisalign® First process, and determine candidacy. You’ll also discuss treatment goals, expected outcomes, and financial details. This step ensures the treatment plan is tailored to your child’s needs.
Customized Treatment Plan
If your child is a candidate, we’ll take digital scans or impressions to map out a personalized treatment plan. Using 3D imaging, we can even preview your child’s expected results. This plan details how each aligner will shift the teeth over time. Once approved, your child’s custom aligners are created to fit their unique dental structure.
Wearing the Aligners
Your child will wear each set of aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, changing to a new set every 1–2 weeks. Aligners are removed only for eating, brushing, and flossing. Regular checkups help track progress and make any needed adjustments. Because the aligners are clear and comfortable, children are often more willing to wear them consistently.
